Double-sided jersey is a common knitted fabric, which is elastic compared to woven fabric. Its weaving method is the same as the simplest plain knitting method for knitting sweaters. It has certain elasticity in the warp and weft directions. But if it is a stretch jersey, the elasticity will be greater.
Double-sided fabric is a kind of knitted fabric. It is called interlock. It is not a composite fabric. The obvious difference is single-sided fabric. The bottom and surface of single-sided fabric obviously look different, but the bottom and bottom of double-sided fabric the faces look the same, so there is this name. Single-sided and double-sided are just different weaves that make the effect such that they are not compound.
The difference between single-sided fabric and double-sided fabric:
1. The texture is different
The double-sided fabric has the same texture on both sides, and the single-sided fabric is a very obvious underside. To put it simply, single-sided cloth means that one side is the same, and double-sided cloth is the same as double-sided.
2. Warmth retention is different
The double-sided cloth is heavier than the single-sided cloth, and of course it is thicker and more cold and warm
3. Different applications
Double-sided cloth, more used for children’s clothing. Usually adult double-sided fabrics are used less, but thicker ones are needed. Brushed cloth and terry cloth can also be used directly.
4. Big price difference
The large price difference is mainly due to the weight. The price of 1 kg is similar, but the weight of one-sided jersey is much smaller than that of double-sided interlock. Therefore, the number of meters out of 1 kg is much more.
